Welcome to Fr. Ernie Deslippe Council #1467
Fr. Ernie Deslippe Council #1467 of the Knights of Columbus is a dedicated fraternal organization rooted in faith, charity, and community service in St. Thomas, Ontario. Located at the Columbus Club on 265 Wellington Street, our council is a vibrant part of the Elgin County Roman Catholic Family of Parishes, serving both our parish communities and the broader St. Thomas region.
Our Mission
We live by the foundational principles of the Knights of Columbus — Charity, Unity, and Fraternity. Through active volunteerism, fundraising, and community partnerships, our council supports a variety of charitable causes and local initiatives. Whether it’s supporting parish programs, contributing to diocesan efforts, or helping our neighbours in need, Council 1467 strives to make a meaningful difference.
Our Home — The Columbus Club
Our meeting place and event venue, the Columbus Club, is more than just a hall — it’s a centre for fellowship and community engagement. Housed at 265 Wellington St, the Club offers flexible event spaces (for up to ~125 guests), including meeting rooms, banquet-style halls, and modern amenities like wi-fi, audio systems, and large-screen TVs. We host a variety of events, from business meetings and receptions to charitable bazaars and community markets.
Programs & Giving Back
Scholarship Program: We offer the Fr. Ernie Deslippe (FED) Scholarship, open annually to eligible Catholic students from our local parishes. This scholarship recognizes academic achievement and volunteer service, continuing Father Deslippe’s legacy of faith and community commitment.
Parish & Community Support: Our council partners with local parishes, non-profit organizations, and diocesan bodies to deliver social outreach. We contribute through volunteer hours, financial donations, and organizing service-based events.
Governance & Engagement: As part of the London East Diocesan Association of the Knights of Columbus, Council 1467 participates in regional service days, meetings, and collaborative programs.
